Letter from Our Founders

We built BIOM because something felt missing from our city. For years, we were sold numbing as celebration and noise as intimacy—routines that left us more depleted than alive. When we stopped hustling, the answer became obvious: Ottawa doesn’t need another sticky bar or exclusive gym. It needs a place to relax, breathe, plunge, sweat and play. A place to reconnect with our bodies, with each other, and with the aliveness within. We’re not a big corporation building a massive complex. We’re a couple of Ottawa kids getting our hands dirty to create something real—for the creators, artists, founders, athletes and changemakers who dream wildly, dance freely and inspire awe.
